Civil Defense Mock Drill “Operation Abhyass”

In a commendable display of preparedness and community coordination, a Civil Defense Mock Drill code-name “Operation Abhyass” was conducted today under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kangpokpi – Shri Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS and Superintendent of Police – Shri Manoj Prabhakar, IPS, at Elite Higher Secondary School and Brig. M. Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi with a participation of approximately 500 individuals. The drill, aimed at testing emergency response protocols and raising public awareness, was a resounding success.
Participants from various sectors, including security forces, local authorities, emergency services such as medical and fire department, education department, NCC volunteers, students, and community members, actively engaged in the simulated emergency scenarios. The exercise covered critical aspects such as evacuation procedures, first aid response, fire safety, and crowd management.
The event not only showcased the efficiency and readiness of our civil defense teams but also highlighted the importance of community involvement in disaster preparedness. Officials overseeing the drill praised the seamless coordination and high level of engagement from all involved.
