Draft publication of Electoral Rolls with regards to Special Intensive Revision (SIR)

The Draft Electoral Rolls for Kangpokpi District has been published today with the conclusion of Enumeration Phase of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) on 28th June, 2026. Kangpokpi District with electors under 166 Polling Stations across 3 (three) Assembly Constituencies i.e., 46-SaikuI (ST), 50 Kangpokpi and 51-Saitu (ST) completed digitization of 99,869 (90.55%) electors while 10,421 (9.45%) electors remained uncollectable with reasons including death, untraceable/absent, permanently shifted, already enrolled and with the publication of the Draft Electoral, w.e.f. 50′ July to 4th August, 2026 will be opened for filling Claims & Objections followed by Notice Phase / Disposal of claims & objections w.e.f. 5th July to 2nd September, 2026. Final Electoral Roll will be published on 6th September,
2026.
Mention may be made that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is being carried out in the State with the objective that “No eligible citizen is left out while no ineligible person is included in the Electoral Roll. “Every person who is a citizen of India and who is not less than eighteen years of age on the qualifying date and is not otherwise disqualified under any law shall be entitled to be registered in the electoral roll.
