District NCD Cell

The District Non Communicable Diseases(NCD) Cell Kangpokpi, under the umbrella of NCDs program, National Programme for prevention and control of Diabetes, Cardiovascular and Stroke(NPCDCS) is the first program implemented in the Kangpokpi District. Some of the activities done by District NCD Cell are:

1. On 6th Oct 2018, International Day of Older Person was observed at DH Kangpokpi.
2. On 16th Oct 2018, World Mental Health Day was observed at Saikul village.
3. On 14th Nov 2018, World Diabetes Day was observed in the Kangpokpi District.
4. On 22nd Nov 2018, Breast Cancer Awareness and Examination Camp was observed at PHC Motbung
5. On 31st May 2019, National Tobacco Control Programme(NTCP) Under the Umbrella of NCDs program observed District Lelvel World No Tobacco Day at Saikul

District Health Society

The District Health Society, Kangpokpi was constituted on 12th of January 2017, with Deputy Commissioner as its Chairman and the Chief Medical Officer as the Director. The District Health Society Kangpokpi has one District Hospital, One Community Health Centre, five Primary Health Centre and Thirty Five Primary Health Sub-centre(PHSC) out of which 4 PHSC has been upgraded to Health & Welness Centre out of the approved 6 PHSC. The Health District comprises of 529 villages under which there are 465 VHNSC and 465 ASHAs. The District had one National Ambulance Service.
